
1. Support your local apple growers by buying B.C. apples. B.C. tree fruit growers have had a tough year with a sparse supply of many of their stone fruits and now they have an abundance of apples they need us to take off their hands. This isn’t hard to do since they are tastiest apples out here with over 6,300 acres of orchard right here in B.C. Head to your local grocer or farmers’ market and look for B.C- grown apples; fill up a bag to help a farmer with their harvest!

2. They make a great snack and are my go-to for lunches. To keep cut apples from browning, soak them in water with a squeeze of lemon for 5 minutes. Rinse and pack for a delicious snack!
